Food Photography

Yesterday was my first time shooting food in a serious way not just shooting thanksgiving dinner. Hudson-Chatham Winery in Ghent NY  is where we did the shoot. They needed a photographer for some books they are making. If you are wondering if there was any eating going on during the shoot, there was and after the shoot was so after. Here are just some of the many shots from my first even food shoot.

This Week

Started with photographing art work for a local artist.

Then I Photographed for the a clothing store I work with.

Today I hung out with a photographer and quickly met a photographer.

The Berry Farm

After the November plane ride I looked at some of my shots and I saw I got a cool shot of The Chatham Berry Farm. I then messaged the owner of the farm and see if he would like to purchase a print and he did and had a family member frame it. The print will be on display for a while so go check it out and buy some local food.

First Model Of 2017

This was my first model shoot of 2017. Playing with a light I got for xmas as well to help with the background. This was her first studio shoot. I was playing around with the lighting and some poses. We talked about how the photos of her siting on the stool reminded us about senior photos.

Trying Something New

I am not a big fan of doing "rapid fire" shooting. This test I wanted to try and a dance at a wedding and showing my friend how fast my camera was, are the only times I have used high shutter aka raid fire shooting. If you can see I am holding my phone that I have hooked up to my camera with a Pluto Trigger.   if you want to see a GIF-Click Here

So with raid shooting, I never have and will do it with sports or any other photography where i would need to fire off fast frames. I like doing it the old school way, you push the shutter down to take a photo. I am quick with my camera so i push the shutter many times. I may give this another try.
